We all know the cons and pros of a high performance carbon blade. They are powerful, light, have unbeatable snap but also quite fragile. Although today's carbon fins are stronger than most materials of the past, still there can be some unfortunate experiences with them. A small crack is not a reason to throw your blades away and Dr. of medfish is explaining us how to repair a minor crack in a precious carbon blade. |

Crimping is definitely one of the most popular way of rigging a speargun but do we really know how to do and what to use? Leadertec LTD is an UK based online tackle store which serves the top of the line equipment for serious anglers and spearfishing enthusiasts. I believe it was 2005 when i met their site on internet and since then Peter and his crew became my favorite store when it comes to rigging equipment. I asked him to tell Medfishers about the proper way of using the crimps and he kindly accepted my offer. The following article which is from their website originally (copyright belongs to Leadertec Ltd and must not be copied without permission) tells all of us the way to make bomb proof crimps for serious games. |

Is there any way to be invisible? Or look exactly like a rock? Or glide like posedonia while waiting for your catch? These are the epic questions of an underwater hunter. We all look for a way to be seen less and there are simply too many rumours to say what the best is. So what does camouflage do? Actually it never helps us to be invisible but it diffuses our image by copying the surrounding. |

Now you have a nice speargun, a nice shaft and powerful rubbers but is it moving fast enough? The question of underwater dynamics is actually a science. Many marine designers has been studying this for ages and surely it is efffecting the equipment we have. |
