Spearfishing buddy in Italy-Adriatic sea?

I'm new to the forum. I live in the USA, but am heading to europe for a short vacation with a friend and the spearfishing gear is coming with. It would be great to have someone to go with that knew where to go (there are lots of areas "off limits" to spearfishing as I understand it). I am not the best diver by any means. I'm comfortable to about 10M but can probably push myself a bit deeper, just won't have much bottom time. Planning on going somewhere in the Adriatic, but that is changable. Also, I could not find anything on billfish (marlin etc) and if they are legal to take by spearfishing? Any help here would be great. ~Shawn

there are several forum in italian... you can also post in english we will try to reply
do a search for "pesca apnea forum" and you will find them
i do not know the adriatic sea, i live on the other side between tuscany and liguria
summer is not a nice time to spear here because of lots of boats going around
and you cannot fish if there are people bathing (500 meters from beach and 200 metres from cliff)
your best option would be at sunraise and be aout before 8.30
