Spear Fishing Licence: In Spain the Spear Fishing Licence is provided by every autonomous regions and they have the authority to make his own regulation. The place to get it is in the Regional ministry of fishing and agricultural, and you need:

– Federation licence or a  insurance of accident and civil responsibility
– Medical certificate.
– Pay some taxes. (Those taxes are not the same in every Region. As an example, in the Region of Murcia the taxes are 6,76€.)

The validity of the licence is different on every autonomous region, for example in the region of Murcia is valid for 3 years.

Restrictions: Only freediving method of fishing is allowed and you can use speargun only in daytime. Aqua scooters are forbidden too and caught fish can not be sold. When spearfishing you must use buoy that is connected to your body to signal your location. There is a daily limit in weight, that is 5kg and one fish per licence (is not possible to have two 6kg fishes but you can have three fishes that makes 4,5 kg and a 20 kg fish).

Restricted Areas: In every region you have restricted areas with different level of restrictions. Spearfishing can be total forbidden or there can be forbidden some days of the week. Is very important to be informed of those areas before we go fishing (is possible to be informed in the same place that we get the licence).
